FIFA+ content has now been transferred to the global streaming platform DAZN, and the FIFA+ app has been discontinued

What this means

  • FIFA+ content is now available on DAZN

  • You can now access the service using your existing FIFA ID

  • The content will remain free on DAZN

  • The service will be accessible by smart TVs, phones, tablets, and game consoles

Following DAZN and FIFA's landmark partnership to broadcast every match from the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup the two partners announced: "Following the resounding global success of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, which secured an audience of billions of fans, FIFA and DAZN are joining forces to take the next step in their strategic partnership – a game-changing global relaunch of FIFA+ next year on DAZN. This will create The new “Global Home of Football”

Today the full service, including Live matches, has moved to DAZN, giving The Global Home of Sport more than 40,000 live games per year from 100 Member Associations across all six confederations, including 11,000 women’s matches. This means that DAZN can lay claim to showing more football than any other broadcaster in the UK, including its coverage of The National League, Serie A, Belgian League, World Sevens, Liga F, Arkema Première Ligue, Frauen Bundesliga, Sport Direct Women's Premiership, and highlights of La Liga, ROSHN Saudi Pro League and the Bundesliga.

DAZN are said to have approximately 300 million users globally, but will hope to use FIFA+ as entry point to new paying subscribers, which currently are estimated to be a more modest 25 million worldwide. The next UEFA Clubs contract has been awarded to Paramount and Sky in the UK, but you would have thought DAZN will be eager to secure those rights when they come up for renewal in 2030 for the 2031-32 season. These rights have the potential to drive subscriptions in a massive way, especially if DAZN could do a pan-European deal and work with the European Broadcasting Union to secure free-to-air access to selected matches each week, as well as the Finals.

They have established themselves as the Global Home of Boxing, and now they are well on their way to doing the same in Football.
